A website that works for everyone

Everyone should be able to find a home, ask a question or reach our office, however they use the web.

Our commitment

Odis Slone Realty aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Those are the widely used standards for making websites usable by people with disabilities.

Here’s what that means in practice on this site:

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and you can always see where you are on the page.
  • Text and buttons have strong color contrast, and text can be enlarged without breaking the layout.
  • Images have text descriptions, and forms have clear labels and error messages.
  • Pages are built to work with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver.
  • If you’ve asked your device to reduce motion, the site respects that setting.
  • The pages still work if JavaScript is turned off.

We test pages with automated tools and check them by hand before we publish changes.

Known limitations

Some parts of this site come from other companies, and we can’t fully control how accessible they are:

  • Home search and listing data (IDX). Live MLS listings are provided by a third-party IDX service. We look for accessible options when choosing that service, but some of its features may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Maps and links to other sites. Links such as Google Maps, Nextdoor and Instagram take you to sites that follow their own accessibility practices.
