Getting to know Dayton
Dayton is the heart of the Miami Valley, along the Great Miami River. It is the hometown of the Wright brothers, and its historic districts, such as the Oregon District and Wright-Dunbar, date back to the 1800s.
Downtown has a riverfront park, free outdoor concerts, a year-round public market and the Oregon District’s restaurants and shops. Five Rivers MetroParks and the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park are both close at hand.
